How old is the baby ? 4 weeks old today.

What new things has baby been doing ? She sort of laughs in her sleep. It's not an all out giggle but she smiles and makes noise. It's adorable!

How are they eating / sleeping ? Eats every 2-3 hours. Last night she slept from midnight till 4:30 so that's good.

Any Medical Appointments since your last update and how did they go ? I hate drs.

Any Medical Appointments coming up ? She's got one on the 30th and I have yet to schedule my six week check up.

How are *you* feeling ? Completely normal (minus the lack of sleep). I'm even back in my real people jeans. Lost the 20 pounds i gained and my incision is fine. Now I just have to lose the 30pounds I gained with my son n I'll be great.

Anything big happening in your personal life (moving, work related, family, etc) ? Nope

Where has my little man gone?

Ok folks with multiple children. This goes out to you! I'm typing this more as a rant than anything but here goes... Liam is driving us nuts! Aine is just about 3 weeks old and Liam left and has been replaced with a bratty defiant boy that I'd like to take back to the store. I'm fully aware that this is totally normal and he'll get better but right now I want to tear his hair out. My husband and I have been uber patient with him. He's gotten away with quite a lot because if I disciplined him like I used to he'd be sitting in the time out chair all day long.

He's pretty great with the baby. He's a little too helpful, constantly kissing and touching her face to the point where she gets upset cause he's smothering her. I have him help me with her (diaper changes and picking out her clothes) and he's really happy to do all of that. It's just everything else. He's totally defiant and does things he knows damn well he's not supposed to do. We've played games, read him books, and I praise him on the things he does well but everytime I turn around he's doing something he's not supposed to unless the TV is on or he's playing video games. I can't have that all the time. He needs to occupy himself without misbehaving.

He's also really rough with other people. A lot of rough housing even when those involved are saying, 'OK. That's enough.' He also 'hates' everything. It's like he's over excited and no matter what you ask him about he hates it. We are huge Phillies phans and people are asking if he watched the game and he's going, 'I hate the Phillies. I want the Ankees to win,' just to say it.

I know this is a phase/ he's jealous/ still adjusting but does anyone have any ideas as to how I can avoid punching him until my sweet, intelligent little boy comes back? (At least till he's a teenager anyway?)

Girl!
I can't believe it's a girl. I'm so glad we waited.

Aine Allison Chambers was born via c-section at 8:58am on October 14th.
She was 8lbs 6oz 19 inches. Left the hospital at 7lbs 7oz (cause my milk wasn't in) and by Monday at her well visit she had gained 3oz in two days!
She's doing wonderful and breastfeeding is going much better than expected.
She's quite the sucker!

Cheese and (ass)CRACKers

We went on a little vacation earlier this week and I thought I'd share some pictures. We took our yearly trip to Knoebles! If you're ever in Elysburg PA and have little ones I'd totally recommend it. Free parking, free entry to the park, great prices, great food.... you really can't beat it.

Anyway... Our usual place to stop for breakfast was closed so we drove a bit to find somewhere else. We happened upon this cute little 50's inspired diner next to a laundromat/tanning salon (which is a fabulous idea if you're into that sort of thing... but I digress). After we sat down the place got really busy and nearly every seat filled up... including the ones at the counter when I saw this.

So naturally I had Liam pose for a picture!!!

We finish our meal (which was very good) and headed on down to the park. Being 27 weeks preggers I can't ride on anything so I was waiting on a bench while my hubby and son were in line for a ride. I was watching the Waltens comedy/variety show when this gentleman and his lady friend stopped right in front of me to catch a glimpse of the show... and scratch his ASS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

He did this long enough for me to dig my camera out of the black hole I call my purse, take the camera out of it's case, turn it on, focus, zoom in, and snap this shot.

Fortunately that was it for the butts on our trip.

When I checked on him this morning he was breathing pretty heavily and lying on his side.

Dear Women everywhere,

Here is some public restroom etiquette. One would hope that this isn't necessary but judging by the flith... it is.

1. A) If you manage to rip tiny pieces of toilet paper off the roll before getting an acceptable sized piece to wipe your fat ass DON'T THROW THEM ON THE FLOOR!!!!! Do you do this at home? B) Trash goes in the trash can... I know, it's a strange idea but that's what it's for.

2. If, while washing your hands, you get water all over the fucking sink CLEAN IT UP WITH A PAPER TOWEL!!!!!

3. DO NOT tug at the paper toilet seat covers so hard that you rip them off the wall... That's just stupid. If you do happen to tear it off..... PICK IT THE FUCK UP AND THROW IT AWAY.

4. It's not going to kill you to touch the door to the bathroom.

5. Don't toss dirty diapers all will nilly. See section B of #1.

6. Tampons/Pads go in... (EVERYONE, all together) THE TRASHCAN. Not stuck to the wall.

7. It is NEVER ok to wipe your shit anywhere but on the toilet paper. Ever.

8. If you would sit the fuck down on the toilet.... say it with me now... THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY PISS ON THE SEAT!!!! Stop this nonsense!

I can't wait till later season's of True Blood when we really get to see his and Sookie's relationship play out. GAAAH I can't wait that long... but I guess the wait will make the pay off better. I totally want Sookie to be with him.

So Liam was curious about where the new baby will sleep. I told him in his room in a crib. He asked about the crib and why the baby needed it.

Me- 'The baby needs the crib so he/she doesn't fall out of the bed. When babies are tiny they can't control themselves.'
Liam- 'Like the Simmons?' (which is what he calls The Sims)

Also I had problems with high blood pressure last pregnancy and at my last appointment my bp was 142/80 ... which isn't horrible but it is a bit high... especially this early on. I was so bummed cause last time for the last 3 months I had to do twice a week Non stress tests and didn't want to go through that again. I've been watching my salt in-take, drinking lots of water, and watching what I eat more (that doesn't mean i didn't have McDonalds last night for dinner...lol). Anyway, I have a friend who is an EMT and I was telling her about my woes. She offered to check my bp if I wanted. Today she brought her cuff and it was... :drum roll please: 124/76! It totally made my day!
